I have attended several events on Generative AI and as well as positive outlook on the benefits you also hear lots of negative comments, ‘loss of traditional jobs,’ ‘environmental impact,’ ‘fear of the unknown,’ ‘social disruption,’ ‘increase in crime’.  However all of these comments are not about AI but were concerns raised by the public during the Industrials Revolution in the 18th and 19th century.

This highlights two important points: as we move forward as a society, we need to look at past experiences to prepare for future changes, and it underscores the importance of a robust Change/Communications Strategy when introducing AI or any disruptive change into your business.
